The Performa-550 has been working since the days of 1.1, and now with 1.3
it runs with either MRG or HWDIRECT code to handle the ADB. It has also
supported X most of that time.

The 1.3_ALPHA runs to, so you might want to use that instead of the
1.2.1. However, 1.2.1 will run if you make sure you're:

*) using a fairly recent Booter 1.9.4 or above should work, 1.10 or 1.11
would be better
*) Make sure MacOS is in 32-bit mode and VM is disabled
*) make sure the Screen depth is set to 1-bit. You can do this
automatically in newer version of the Booter or with a MacOS Extension
called Screen Depth
*) if you're running off the internal 160Meg SCSI disk use the GENERICSBC
kernel, otherwise the GENERIC kernel will work just fine
*) you haven't gotten this far yet, but make sure you've done the "Device
Build" in the Installer before attempting to boot all the way up

If you still have problems contact me via E-Mail and I'll send you an
exact listing of my setup.
