My PB can successfully find the number of buttons, and I can't recall
offhand if it reports the trackpad as being 387 dpi resolution. I would
ensure that you have the latest NetBSD kernel sources and the latest rev.
of Takashi Hamada's PowerManager code.

I found that under older versions of the SONIC driver, that at least on my
Powerbook 520, the kernel would fail to get SONIC's MAC address unless I
booted MacOS with AppleTalk on to force it to see and use the ethernet
before booting NetBSD. Allen Briggs' kludge for getting the MAC address of
SONIC seems to work well for my PB as long as I have AppleTalk on, like I
said...

Yeah, I found that until I got an FPU in my PB, it dumped core on just
about every command I typed in :(

The ncrscsi kernels do not work on my PB 520, but they may work on yours.
On boot, mine hangs just after it begins to talk to the SCSI controller and
locks up solid.
