Uh...this isn't always necessary (many people put it on an internal drive)

I think that's in the INSTALL doc

That's definitely in the INSTALL doc.

So is this.

And this.

I hope I do ;-)

Well, the FAQ is for frequently asked questions...so it really shouldn't
describe how to install the system (just workarounds for frequent problems
;-)

If you would, please take a look at the latest version of the INSTALL
document (I spent a couple of nights a few weeks back updating it for
current reality). I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me on it. I
think the URL is currently:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-current/src/distrib/notes/

and the mac68k-specific portions are in the mac68k directory below the
above directory. I'll see if I can figure out how to build the full
INSTALL document and get one put in the 1.3_ALPHA directory if it doesn't
come as part of the system.

I'm not sure how basic the current version of the INSTALL document is, tho
(it's hard to distance yourself from the process when you've been running
NetBSD for a couple of years :-)

So, please let me know how the latest version looks. Hopefully, any
common questions not covered by it _are_ covered by the FAQ.

BTW, does anyone know how the INSTALL document gets built? Would someone
with developer access please build it and put it up in the 1.3_ALPHA
mac68k directory? (Or tell me how and I'll do it).

I hope this helps some.

Later.
