Note that the current (1.3) ftp client should handle urls.  I.e.,
"ftp http://www.macbsd.com/index.html" will work as well as
"ftp ftp://ftp.macbsd.com/pub/NetBSD/".  The former will grab a file
where the latter will land you in a directory.  I'm not sure how the
mime type works here, though, and if a Unix-based web server will do
any lf->crlf translation on "text" files.
