down here, installing/booting on a IIcx 8mb worked out OK.
i didn't boot from a MacOS partition but the NetBSD partition,
didn't cpin the kernel but installed it using the menu-item,
also no power cycling when scanning the scsi but (2disks attached)
(building current kernel went ok too)
