What do you mena by "run." Chances are, ethernet'd be faster and easier.

Is this ethernet hooked to the internet, or do you have a modem on the
PowerMac? Having MacOS be happy with both Ethernet and SLiP or PPP
is tricky (I'll let someone who knows more about it tell you how :-)

Netatalk impliments Appletalk support under Unix. It deals with
AppleTalk on the same basis as IP or the iso protocols.

If you want Chooser-type services, then Netatalk is what you want.
If you want telnet, ftp, or http services, you want IP.
