No, incoming telnet connections are encrypted, and I can also use 
Authentication Manager on my PowerMac along with nifty telnet so that 
once I authenticate and get tickets, connections get encrypted and I 
don't have to retype my password.  I can do the same thing when on sun4, 
using 'telnet -a'.
