This can vary.  If you are attaching SCSI-1 devices to a wide SCSI
controller, the controller ID must be 7 or lower in order for the SCSI-1
devices to see the controller.  If you've only got wide SCSI devices on
your wide SCSI controller, then your controller ID can be any number from
0-15, but 7 is probably the most commonly used ID#.
