Thanks to the list members my IIvx is now up and running. It was the
problem with version 1.9.5 of the Booter.

I downloaded version 1.11 from ftp.macbsd.com and it had no problems, plus
it has a few extras over the earlier versions, such as changing screen
depth automatically. A thoroughly recommended upgrade.
