I've gotten GENERIC kernels to boot my Q610 with 68LC040, but nothing will
work reliably on a 68LC040-based machine as yet. You can, indeed, boot, but
you'll get a multitude of errors, to the point where the system is
basically unusable.

I ended up picking up an old Mac SE/30, which seems to work flawlessly with
NetBSD. I'd rather run NetBSD on my Q610, but that can happen sometime, and
by the time 68LC040s can run NetBSD, I'll have much more of a clue than I
have now.
