Hi guys,

Machine: SE/30, 5 megs RAM, running System 7.5.3

Hard drive: 233 meg (with 4 partitions: A/UX-125 meg, swap-20 meg,
Eschatology 1-3 meg, Mac-85 meg according to APS)

Extensions and control panels: removed from folders except Mode32 and
Monitors and Memory (Monitors: in color mode, Memory: 32 bit addressing
on, Virtual Memory on)

What I did:

After reading the two responses, I used APS 2.7.4 to reformat the hard
drive, partition (A/UX 3.0 partition) using defaults, formatted the A/UX
partition with Mkfs, installed all 8 sets of compressed binary, in
alphabetical order (the binary was downloaded using Fetch 3.0, binary mode
specified), built devices, then booted.

The result is basically the same:

Booting...MID_M68K executable: entry 0x3356.
770544+57724+99004+45732+48403
  Bye-bye...
So I sez to him... The real way
that it should be done is to...

and it froze.

I tried again, this time turned off the SyQuest EZ Drive before booting
and got the error message I got in the first post.

EZ Drive already off, restarted, booted with the same result shown above.

I think I followed the installation process exactly...What went wrong?
