I do not know about your Q630, therefore I wonder I can help you.

I _could_ boot NetBSD-1.2.x on my Q630. I tested following kernels
and binaries.

netbsd1.2.1 distribution kit (and its kernel)

        snapshot970601(maybe) GENERIC32
                                GENERICSBC32

I also boot with previous version (NetBSD-1.2 and GENERIC13).

My advices are:

     1) use newest "booter". Its version may be 1.10.1,
while it is shown as 1.9.8.

     2) check all check-box off on "Booting" dialog-box.
        I check only two: auto-ram size, auto-GMT-bias.

     3) check all check-box off and make all field clear.

If you can tell me your environment in detail, I might give much more.

P.S. I also tested OpenBSD2.1, it could not work on my Q630.
