Thanks a lot, i didn't think of looking there
fvwm95 (although being quite slow) ran on my machine. i would like to get
a less-beefed-up version, like fvwm-1.24l. unfortunately, i was unable to
run the binary successfully. i installed it, and 1.24l would complain
about a missing libXpm.so.4.3, and i had 4.7 installed. dispite creating a
new symbolic link and reloggin in, the problem didn't get fixed :(
the 2.0.40 binary and the binary i compiled from 2.0.42 source code on
sunsite had the same problem. when i launched them, the load average went
up, indicating something was happening. then, it went down without doing
anything. i executed the programs with a -display :0.0, but that didn't
help either. i could not use the console after that. i had to log in over
ppp ( i have two modems). know anything i could have done wrong?

did that, thanks, i got libXpm.so.4.7 from that.

thanks again. is it safe to assume any program that runs in X11R6 will
also run in openwindows? (including programs like xterm, etc..?) any
programs that have exceptions/etc?

i ran this and it asked me for a library...libolgx.so.3.2. although i
probably haven't done any more thorough reading, i didn't find binaries on
NetBSD-Amiga.
