if a reply was given to the message regarding syslog scrolling up the
screen while running X or dt, please forward it to me, i too am interested
in a fix.
(i have to bother my sysadmins, stupid mail server keeps crashing. in the 
meantime, i subscribed this address to the list.)
Also, i downloaded xserver.961105 from ftp.netbsd.org, and upon executing,
got an error message:
xserver.961105: Exec format error. Wrong Architecture.
any suggestions? :\
