To whomever is maintaining the installer,

I love the progress bar!  I get the idea that it charts the file size
against the total size of the package it is installing.  I wonder if a -
file count vs. the total number of files -  might be a more accurate
representation  of the true progress of a package install.  Here is why
I think this:

I installed the current base this morning and the progress bar was
flying along until it got to th zoneinfo files.  There are a LOT of
these.  Even though they are relatively small (53 bytes), It took nearly
as long to install these tiny files as much larger files.  So the effect
was the first 90% of the installation took about the same amount of time
as the last 10% given the progress bar as a measuring stick (which it
is).
