hi.

howcome nfs works so seldom on my netbsd box?

my exports file seems to only work with this line:

/ -alldirs -maproot=root -ro

even similar lines fail

i want to export my ftp directory to my other server so it is accessible
via appletalk; so i've written

/pub/pub -maproot=root

does anyone know why this isn't working? (i have a folder at root
level called /pub which contains pub/, www/ and bin/ etc, as per
usual. so /pub/pub/ is definitely right.

at some point it let me have this

/pub -maproot=root

but no more. weeeeird. :-(

please help. i'm getting really annoyed by this inconsistency.
please also reply to me directly :-)

TIA
