More information!  What messages are shown on screen when it hangs?
What MacOS extensions are you booting with?  Did you check the FAQ at
http://www.macbsd.com/macbsd/macbsd-docs/ ?

I'm sure there's someone running NetBSD/mac68k on IIvi.
