One thing you might want to rule out is insure no one is screwing
with your X session. Which systems have access to your display?
If you use "xhost" to grant/deny access, typing xhost on its own
will list the system which are allowed to connect.

You can also see who is attached to your display via the netstat
command:

	netstat -an | grep 6000

If you have granted xhost access to other hosts, any user on the remote
host can control your display.

If this is indeed the case, consider using the Xauthority mechanism,
or just port & install ssh -- http://www.cs.hut.fi/ssh

Good luck,

James
