err, i don't think that Mac (or any mac?) will boot without RAM, let alone
send a video signal. just add 4-256k's in there or something just to make
it happy.

on my IIvx, the video signal on my nubus video card does not get sent until
long after the normal MacOS chime. The internal video signal, however, gets
sent when I press the button, before the chime.
maybe since the mac won't chime in the first place (missing ram?) the nubus
video signal never comes through.
