While telnetting into my machine today (and on previous days) I have
noticed that whenever I do any sort of 'ls' command (e.g. ls, ls -a, etc.)
I get the following type of output on my screen:
g_evans# ls -a
. .cshrc .login .profile
public_html
.. .history .mailrc .rhosts
g_evans# ls -al

Yes, That is exactly how it looks. For obvious reasons this is not
acceptable. II am currently using tcsh as my shell environment. If I
change to just 'sh' for the shell environment everything is A-OK, the same
as above happens in csh. I have not tried bash, ksh, or zsh as I do not
have them installed on this machine, however I have a gut feeling that the
same would happen anyway, and I would *prefer* to use tcsh.
Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, this ONLY happens when I am telnetted in, if I am logged on at
the machine everything is A-OK as normal....
Thanks in advance,
