   Hi Everybody,

Agreed. Keeping track of that would be impossible. But it would already
be very helpful to know if a particular machine will run with the official
release kernel or not. If a -current or other kernel is necessary, details
(things like "needs SBC driver", "needs ADBDirect code", "only works with
the hack contributed by xxx", etc.) and URLs, where necessary, can be taken
from the user-contributed page.

Another idea that might help: if everybody would make sure that his/her
machine is listed in the user survey, <http://www.macbsd.com/~spearce/>,
and that the record is up to date (including details about the kernel,
where necessary, in the "Comments").

Best wishes,

          Nico
