For anybody who's seen this before, I attempted to get ppp running last
night w/o much luck.  First, I took some scripts from my MkLinux box with
tweaks to fix the device name.  Gave me an error right after the chat
script had finished saying that the modem had hung up.  Switched to the
scripts in the wrstuden ppp package, put in the right phone number,
username, password, tweaked the chat script slightly.  Same result.

Any idea what's happening there?  The modem works fine under MacOS and
MkLinux (which I would assume is using the same or similar pppd, right?)
