In another piece that i don't quite understand, i'm trying to figure out
if i can remap console messages to X rather than the text screen.

If I log in, then startx, messages such as buffer overflows, su success
& failure, and any other system messages print to the original text
console, scrolling the whole X environment. I know I can dispose of
this by sending them off to a file, but there's some that could be
important. Is there a way to change the console messages to the "login"
xterm?
