Are you using GENERIC-28 and Booter 1.9.6?

The bootlog looked pretty normal...I assume it simply locks right at that
point, after the bootlog finishes, huh?

Do you have _any_ extensions enabled?  What kind of video card do you
have?  This is a Mac II, so do you have MODE32 installed?
