I don't know exactly what the book says, I left it home when I came to
school. I think that it should be the same for all modems anyway...Is
anyone using a Zoom V.34 modem and has a book for it?

This is interesting: When I use Fetch under MacOS to transfer, the FC
light on the modem will go low and *immediately* flow will stop, and after
a second, the light will go back on and Fetch will continue to upload
normally. I know it's sending data because I see the SD (send data) light
on.
On the contrary: If I try to do the same upload using ftp under NetBSD,
the FC light will go low and data will continue to be sent for about 3 to 5
seconds. I think that when the FC light goes low, all outgoing data is
stopped. I'm assuming ftp doesn't receive a response from the other side
and stops sending data then. Is the crtscts option not taking effect? Why
would this be happening?
Thanks for the help,
