I think the ppp-up script would have to create a file like
/var/run/ppp0.redial so the disconnect script wouldn't get
confused when you killed pppd with ppp-down.  The file would
be removed with the ppp-down you would run when you wanted
to disconnect.  I think I'll add an option to my ppp-up
to redial when the connection was dropped.  It might
be useful for long overnight downloads.

Thoughts?
