Although I suppose it might still be called experimental, it is now 
pretty much working, and a lot of people are using it...

I think it accurately reports the status of the Q800, but I could be wrong...

To the best of my knowledge, the latest current distribution should work 
on your machine:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/mac68k/latest/
