I have recompiled the kernel last night but two probelms are still
slightly bothering me.

First, as Paul Goyette noted, reboot still does not work. I have only
one file system, so I can not tell if there are more problems with
mount, but after reboot command the system says 'synching disks ...',
then the screen blanks out and nothing more happens until I hit reset
button. The same happens even from single-user mode before I remounted
the root and reboot is the very first command I issue.

Second, I have a Mac game, 'Chinese Tiles'. I noticed that when I boot
NetBSD after playing this game the system makes absolutely horrible
shierk *the first time* it is supposed to beep. Next beeps sound
right. It seems to me that something is not initialized completely in
the sound driver. (Hint: when, after the same game, MacOS wants to
beep, it crashes.) I do not like this sound but it does not seem to
do any harm to the system.
