I would not be surprised to have any kind of strange sound but it is
strange that MacOS activity have an impact on NetBSD after booting.

Benchmarks? Why bother? I know my IIcx is really slow but sometimes it
is faster and more reliable then DEC Alpha in my office swarmed with
dozens of users. :)
