After a request from a new NetBSD user, I've added a plaintext version of 
the docs to the ftp directory on puma.  So, the files that end with .txt 
contain formatting to look nice on your terminal when viewed with 
something like 'more' or 'less' while the ones that end in .plaintxt can 
be viewed in a Mac text editor without causing too many headaches.

The location is:

ftp://ftp.macbsd.com/pub/NetBSD/docs/text/
