The only thing I think the Mach driver would be good for would be
an example of how to do DMA.

I've been snooping in the CHRP/PPCP spec, and it describes the
hardware in the 8500 fairly well. The mkLinux source can fill in
the gaps.

AFAIK, that serial hardware is different from the IOP hardware. The
only 68k macs which would be able to use it would be the Q660 and
Q840 (Everything with the CURIO chip).
