Could someone help this gentleman, please? It sounds like it could be
several things, but I'm not nearly familiar enough with the LC II to form
a coherent response.

Subject: Getting NetBSD up on a an LC II

Attempting to install NetBSD onto an Apple LC II.

The Install Utility comes up, says "Mounting partition 'A' as /" but
never gives a line like:

	sd1 at scsi ID 5

(In my case, the scsi ID is 3.) Instead, it says it can not mount the
root drive and crashes into Macsbug. The Macsbug error line is:

Bus error at 010O6778 do_mount_root+000A
while fetching instruction at 61A0619E

The error line in the install utility is:

failed mountfs(), error 22.
error mounting root. Undefined error 0.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
I realize what this means. It means it can not find the root disk
drive. However, Mkfs finds everything quickly, easily, and formats
everything without any kind of an error. When I look at it with APS
Technologies' software, it shows the A/UX partitions et al. Root&Usr,
Swap, and Usr 2.

I'm running on an LC II.
9megs of memory (max'd out)
230mb Optical drive

Any help appreciated. Also, at the site I downloaded this from, the
xbasic12 file was corrupted (at least I could not download it). This
was from the NETBSD site. In the NetBSD-1.2 directory under the X11
subdirectory. You might want to check it out. :-)
