yes. you can get netbsd *working* in about 40 Mb, less if you don't want
man pages (read: you know what you're doing inside out, have no users less
knowledgable, and only want the base distribution)

depends on your intentions. if you don't want to run X11, you can get a
decent system operable on a zip, even with 16Mb of swap. But you'll not
have a lot of room for file storage, compliling, or additions.
You could prolly even fit X on it, if you have no swap partition.
i'll be able to let you know soon enough, as i just allocated my 20Mb
external to swap so that i could try.
now if you're thinking of supporting several users with quota for
workspace and mail, you may have a problem.
