I guess that it won't hurt you to use a slightly more polite language ???

Anyway: The NetBSD system has a cron entry to run the newsyslog command
each hour. This program uses a configuration file, and one of the entries
in this file contains a reference to the user name "uucp". I guess that
you have removed this user name from your system thinking that you don't
need it. I hope that this may help you to explain your problem.
