Thanks for all the answers I got!

To answer the questions that were asked to me in response to my last
e-mail, here is my configuration:
I've a Quadra 650, with 68040 processor.
I have the following drives attached to my SCSI bus:
0 - Conner CP30175E - 170Mb
1 - Quantum Fireball 1080S
3 - Apple CD 600e
5 - Iomega ZIP 100
and it's correctly terminated (termination included in the Quantum HD.
Maybe I should try another termination.)
Could the Quantum drive disturb even if the files are not installed on it?

I installed NetBSD on the Conner hard drive. Maybe it has the same problems
as the Quantum hard drives.
The kernel I use is the GENERIC-21. I tried the GENERIC-16 (cannot boot),
GENERIC-19 and GENERIC-20 (didn't reinstalled the files before trying the
20). I couldn't have one of these kernels working on my Mac.
Some days ago, I got the GENERICSBC-20 and had NetBSD running for a while
with it. But not for a long time. I can't remember if I had reinstalled the
files before trying the SBC version (the files were probably already
corrupted).

Now, I just reinstalled the base12 files. I'll try the GENERICSBC-20 kernel
with newly installed files and tell you if it works better.
What is the difference between the SBC and non-SBC kernels. I thought the
non-SBC was using an ncrscsi driver and the SBC the driver for the 68020
and 68030 based Mac. Should the SBC driver work with ncrscsi controller?

Bye!

Olivier
