--Yes, on re-reading my last comment, it is a bit unclear. Basically I
think the porting stuff *needs* to be on the list. Often though, specific
replies to queries about a particular problem could perhaps go via personal
email not the group, but preferably with the sender of the original query
sending a 'summary' back to the list when the problem's solved, or if the
problem has thus been refined.... And yes, I like it as it is now.
