Not just yours.  This problem is also known to effect Linux (Intel
version) and SunOS 5.x (Solaris).  I haven't tried on anything else.

If you get one statically linked with ncurses, and it works, please upload
it into puma.macbsd.com/pub/NetBSD/contrib/incoming (or is it
...contrib/unix/infoming).  Thanks for telling me that ncurses works.
That was going to be my next attempt, but I simply hadn't gotten around to
it, with my 23 hours of classes, etc.
