I can't pinpoint exactly when this started happening, but recently I've
been increasingly having the following strange problem: I dload some
source, usually for an X app totally unrelated to curses (I'd think), it
compiles fine, but when I try to run it, I get:
/usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_tgetstr" in
multitetris:/usr/lib/libcurses.so.2.1
For example, this happened with both "multitetris" and "xspacewarp"
downloaded from ftp.x.org:/contrib/games/
Any ideas?
Could libncurses being installed in /usr/local/lib make any difference? I
tried "ldconfig /usr/X11R6/lib" (leaving out /usr/local/lib, unlike at
boot time), and that had no effect...
hurmmmm..
