If so, they'd be using a 1.2 generic with sbc.

#1. Do I need to build my own kernel with the SBC driver? I am mounting
the file system onto the file system of my internal drive (Conner 170);
could this cause a problem? Thanks in advance to all those who can help.

You'd need a system with an sbc driver, yes. Look around at
ftp.netbsd.org.

Hope that helps,
