Subject: IIcx ethernet probs

I have been running MacBSD on my IIcx for quite a while. Just recently
I recieved an asante MacConI Nubus eternet card (with the DP83902 or whatever,
that MacBSD supposedly supports). I installed it "behind" my Rasterops
24stv video card, which caused the ethernet card to hang MacBSD on boot.
Putting in "front" of the stv card gets it correctly recognized at boot.
Everything works fine until I try to configure and use the card.
ifconfig works and seems to install an address, but once I try to use
the interface, it locks up. I can't figger it out.

My network is a simple crossover cable which goes to my trusty PM 7100.
I've tried telneting in from the PM, with no avail. Oddly enough, I can
ping the MacBSD machine from the PM, but not the other way around.

Here's what I've done: (.2 is the PM)

myname# ifconfig ae0
ae0: flags=8822<BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>
myname# ifconfig ae0 inet 192.0.0.1
myname# ifconfig ae0
ae0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>
        inet 192.0.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.0.0.255
myname# telnet 192.0.0.1
Trying 192.0.0.1...
Connected to 192.0.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
<hang...>
^]
telnet> close
Connection closed.
myname# ping 192.0.0.1
PING 192.0.0.1 (192.0.0.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.0.0.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=11.053 ms
64 bytes from 192.0.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=2.555 ms
^C
--- 192.0.0.1 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 2.555/6.804/11.053 ms
myname# ping 192.0.0.2
PING 192.0.0.2 (192.0.0.2): 56 data bytes
<hang, no tommorrow>

I'm running 1.1 binaries, and I've tried a 1.1 kernel as well as the
latest NFS_29 kernel on puma.

Yes, the card works under MacOS.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this the infamous interrupts disease??

Can anyone help me??
