No ideas off hand.  Do other kernels boot with the cache disabled?
Is this a pds/nubus version?  (I.E. It doesn't plug directly
into the processor socket?  There could be some
problems, since I'm not sure how or if they would
be initialized correctly if it was pds/nubus...)
