Try SunTar.  Works for me, anyway.  Either that or MacMint.  :-)
Keep in mind that untarring on the mac side will screw up a binary file
unless you set it up to not convert nl to cr (ASCII).

As to where you can find it?  Try using archie.  That'd by the easiest
way to track it down... that or anarchie....
