I also have a IIx with problems with the color kit. My configuration is as
follows:

Mac IIx
8MB ram
500MB hard drive
netbsd 1.1
booter 1.9.1(also tried 1.8)
Macintosh II video card

My results differ from Aaron's results.
Upon boot, I experience a hang at the line that says:

        nubus0 at mainbus0

I then wait for several minutes and nothing seems to happen. I can't break
into the debugger or anything.

The video card is an apple one, but I'm not sure if it is the same one that
Aaron has. It is labelled as a "Macintosh II video card" and Slots says it
is a "Display_Video_Apple_TFB". Other functioning kernels identify it as:

        grf0 at nubus0: 640 x 480 monochrome QD compatible (Toby frame
buffer card) display

I'm not sure why it is identified as "monochrome" as it functions perfectly
well in 8-bit color on the MacOS side.

If you have any updates, questions, etc. please let me know.

Thanks in advance...

Steve Brown

p.s. Kudos to all on the continued excellent work on MacBSD. Upon finally
breaking down and getting a IIx, I had it up and functioning almost
        immediately.
