Hi,

last night I installed CAP 6.0 pl197 on my SE/30 (20/810+100) with Asante
MacCon SI enet card. CAP compiled 'out of the box'; all I did was set some
acess paths to 4.4BSD standards (/var/log, /var/run, /usr/local/libexec).

CAP ran 'out of the box', too -- sort of. But it is deadly slow...

Copying small files (~10K) takes minutes. The MacOS machine freezes during
the copy (as usual with appletalk 8-( ) and 'top' shows a system load of
around 0.1 -- the NetBSD box just sits there and feels bored.

I browsed through the compile parameter lists and played around with the
parameters for aufs, notably -S and -R : no change.

Has anyone on the list made different experiences?
