Run xconsole, or xterm -C ... it will re-direct console messages 
somewhere else, thus lessening your annoyance :-)

ring overrun ... I think that's the message you get when the zs software 
ring buffer fills ... i.e. the tty layer hasn't had enough of a chance to 
drain the software "fifo".
