I'm the person who periodically breaks the serial drivers. :-)  I don't
think there's anything you can do.

Are you getting lots of overflow errors, or just a not-very-usable
system? The fix above should help w/ ring overflows, but possibly not
much if you have both ports going at once. Also, I don't know what
overhead is involved in ppp operations.

For now, you might just be out of luck for the two port setup,
though it would be nice to eventually get it working.
