After having a lot of fun logged on to the MacII from a Color Classic on
the worlds smallest ethernet, I tried a few things this morning that may
help determine the cause of the problem.
There is definitely a problem with the Samsung full page video card and
ethernet cards.
If I have the ethernet card (currently an apple card) in a lower numbered
slot than the Samsung card, NetBSD boots, but trying to access the ethernet
card crashes the machine.
If I pull the video card, everything works ok (so far)
If I have the ethernet card in a higher numbered slot than the video card,
the boot sequence hangs just after:
ad0 ..... ( the whole line prints, returns, and hangs on the next line)
Could it be some sort of conflict in the interrupt handling scheme for
these two cards?
A toby frame buffer card, also installed, seems to have no effect on any of
this, but I haven't tried all the combinations yet.
