For those that are interested, there is a new ADBTEST kernel and full
description available at <http://www.microserve.com/~jpw/adb.html>
Some new features:
(Most of these are IIsi type hardware issues, since that is currently
the only type of ADB hardware that is supported supported.)
- Based on kernel sources pulled down about 2/24/96.
- Should work on IIsi, IIvi, IIvx, P600, ClassicII/P200, LCIII/P450.
- May work on Color Classic, LCII/P400/P405/P430, LC575/P575/P577/P578,
Q605/LC475/P475/P476, P460/465/467, Quadra/LC/Performa 630,
Centris/Quadra 660AV, Q840AV, Q950.
- It will NOT work on II, IIx, IIcx, IIci, or SE/30.
- It will NOT work on ANY Powerbooks.
- Fixed possible state machine problem when sending ADB command.
- Supports reading and writing to the Real Time Clock. (Reading and
writing to the PRAM itself is not complete, but nothing currently
in NetBSD/Mac uses it anyway)
- Enables APPLE-POWER switch for NMI if not already enabled by Macsbug
during MacOS boot.
- Fixed timing problem at start of scanning of devices that may have
caused problems on some faster machines.
- Now calls serial interrupt code during ADB interrupt time when interrupts
are disabled to minimize lost serial data.
Thanks to all who have sent me results in the past. Your testing efforts
help make NetBSD/Mac68k better!
Later,
--John
