Thanks to all who responded telling me that my file system is messed up.
As suggested by several people I ran mkfs and started over reinstalling
the files. When I booted it got much farther when I tried to boot multi
users. I unfortunately didn't write down the steps, and the point that
it stopped at. I wanted it to be a repeatable problem so I tried it
again. This time it stopped after the time daemon again as it had
originally when I had file troubles. So I looked for bad files, and
found tons of them. Any body have any idea why I'm getting so many bad
files for trying to boot multi user. Am I destined to single user?
