Actually, it looks like the kernel may just not recognize the DrHW or
DrSW values for that card.  That should be quite easy to check w/
debugging printfs when you can compile a kernel, or by code inspection
and the Slots (or other slot-probing) program.

There might also be some issue with clearing interrupts properly on the
LCIII.

It works OK on my IIsi--which has a PDS slot that can accept a NuBus
adapter.
